    U.S. Marine Corps Awards $37M Equipment Support Task Order to VSE Corporation

    It was announced on September 16th that Alexandria, Va.-based VSE Corporation was awarded a firm fixed price task order valued at $37 million to support the U.S. Marine Corps Systems Command in Quantico, VA under its SeaPort-e contract vehicle. This award increases the contract value, scope and capabilities of work currently being performed by VSE.

    VSE, a diversified logistics and services company, will be contributing program management, engineering technical support, maintenance services, among other key functions to the USMC Product Manager Assault Amphibious Vehicles (PdM AAV) for the Equipment Maintenance Test Support (EMTS) Program. Throughout the 6 month base period and the four one year options VSE will be providing support to the Product Manager for the AAV test vehicles which the Marine Corps has extended the service life of to 2035.

    J.R. Brown, Federal Services Group President, said, “For nearly two decades, we have provided comprehensive maintenance support for the USMC amphibious assault vehicles. Our program manager, maintenance supervisor and mechanics, engineers, vehicle operators and field service technicians bring expertise, experience, and a level of detailed knowledge that will continue to keep these vehicles in the highest state of operational readiness for testing and demonstrations throughout their service life. Our number one goal is to ensure that our nation’s first line of defense is fully supported to accomplish their mission.”
