    Jim Wordsworth to Receive 2015 Community Leadership Award at the Sweet Home Virginia Gala in October

    On Friday, October 9th the Community Foundation for Northern Virginia will be presenting its 2015 Community Leadership Award to Jim Wordsworth at the Sweet Home Virginia Gala. This event will take place at the Sheraton Tysons Hotel in Tysons Corner, Virginia from 6:00 – 9:30 p.m.

    Jim Wordsworth of J.R.’s Goodtimes Inc. will be honored for his years of community service both nationally and locally. Jim has served on numerous boards of directors as well as volunteered and supported local nonprofit organizations. He is a founding member of the Community Foundation for Northern Virginia’s Board of Directors.

    Eileen Ellsworth, President of the Community Foundation for Northern Virginia had this to say about Jim, “Jim Wordsworth has been a champion for those in need in the Northern Virginia region since he opened his first business here many years ago. His generous support of the local community through his leadership on business and nonprofit boards of directors his commitment of time and resources to championing the causes in which he believes is truly inspiring, and I am delighted to bring his work and accomplishments into the spotlight by honoring Jim with this year’s Community Leadership Award.”

    This award is presented annually at this black tie event for outstanding commitment and dedication to improving the quality of life for all Northern Virginians. The evening will start with a cocktail reception and silent auction and then be followed by dinner, live auction and the award presentation.
