The New York State Society of Washington, D.C. will host its 37th annual event celebrating the city of Buffalo, NY from 6:00 to 9:00 p.m. September 16 at the Dirksen Senate Office Building Room SDG_50, Washington, D.C. This event honors Buffalo, “City of Good Neighbors” with friends, food, fun and conversation.
The Charging Buffalo Award will be presented to Megan Smith, United States Chief Technology Officer in the Office of Science & Technology Policy. Megan grew up in Buffalo, N.Y and graduated from City Honors School. She went on to hold various leadership positions at Google and PlanetOut after completing her bachelor’s and master’s degrees from MIT.
This annual event brings together hundreds of local Buffalo people, fellow New Yorkers along with politicians and leading Buffalo area corporate executives. Authentic Buffalo food and drink caps off the evening.
