    Eric Wieman Named Chief Operating Officer of A-TEK, Inc.

    Ellicott City, Md.-based A-TEK announced August 17th that Eric Wieman has been hired as Chief Operating Officer/Executive Vice President. Eric brings over 34 years of experience which include active duty in the U.S. Navy serving as Captain and Naval Aviator as well as leadership positions at STG, Inc., Accelera Solutions, Dell/Perot, CSC, Raytheon, Northrop Grumman and Lockheed Martin.

    A-TEK Chief Executive Officer, Kathryn Freeland said this of Wieman’s hiring, “Eric’s hire comes at a pivotal period in the life of A-TEK. As we continue to focus on the mission of our clients, the effectiveness of our service and solutions offerings, and the need to recruit and retain top flight staff, having Eric join our team further strengthens our leadership team and brings tried and proven ingredients for strategic and tactical growth. With his extensive background and strategy development, business development, corporate operations, client relationship management, and organizational and performance improvement, Eric brings a proven track record and a plethora of experience to a growing company like A-TEK. We are thrilled to have him as part of our executive management team.”

    Wieman’s responsibilities as Chief Operating Officer and Executive Vice President will be the alignment and integration of A-TEK’s business growth strategies with its operating business units.
