“WashingtonExec offered an outstanding industry GovCon executive gathering earlier this month in Tyson’s Corner. We appreciated the opportunity to speak to the group about NS2 Serves, Training and Employing Veterans,” said Mark A. Testoni, President and CEO of SAP NS2.
WashingtonExec happy hours provided a space for over 50 executives from 10 mission-based Councils to meet, create connections and build relationships with other members of their field. In an industry built around trust, these meetups offer a chance for executives to build and cultivate trusted relationships today, for better business and partnerships tomorrow.
This month’s happy hour was sponsored by NS2 Serves, an independent, nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization established by SAP National Security Services, Inc. to give back to the community it serves by training and employing veterans in high-tech careers. WashingtonExec members also took a moment to thank Gary Shiffman of Giant Oak for his two years of hard work and creative ideas as Founding Chairman of the WashingtonExec Big Data Council. Tom Woteki of MAXIMUS will now Chair the Council.
“WashingtonExec provides a space for business executives to build trust relationships, the lifeblood of business transactions. I have invested my time in these happy hours, dinners, and breakfasts, and the return has been fantastic. We helped to define the Big Data space, and learned a great deal about the market, customers, and each other. Although I am stepping down as chairman of the Big Data Council, I will work hard to maintain my many friendship built with the help of JD, Brynn, and the fantastic WashingtonExec team,” said Gary Shiffman, President and CEO of Giant Oak.
WashingtonExec continues to facilitate 10 successful Executive Councils, including the Internet of Things Council, Chaired by Chris Smith of AT&T, the Big Data Council, Chaired by Tom Woteki of MAXIUMS, the Emerging Technologies Council, Chaired by Mark Cohn of Unisys Federal Systems, the Intelligence Council, Chaired by Rob Zitz of Leidos, the Federal Acquisition Council, Chaired by James Scampavia of AMERICAN SYSTEMS, the Strategic Human Capital Council, Chaired by Steve Woolwine of AECOM, the Leadership Council Chaired by Greg Baroni of Attain, the Federal Business Council, Chaired by Sumeet Shrivastava of Array IT, the STEM Council, Chaired by Ed Swallow of the Aerospace Corporation, and the Millennial Leadership Development Council, Chaired by Andrea Wright of Unissant.
