On July 22, 2015, SOS International LLC (SOSi) announced that it has been awarded a prime contract to offer Language Interpreter Services at the Department of Justice (DOJ), Executive Office for Immigration Review (EOIR). The contract has an $80 million cap lasting one base period and four option periods lasting until August of 2020.

SOSi will be responsible for providing the management and operation necessary to perform interpreter services for over 300 languages to augment EOIR’s in-house staff. SOSi will be supporting immigration court proceedings in all fifty states, the District of Columbia, and all territories.

“SOSi was founded over 25 years ago as a language company performing court interpretation services” said SOSi Chief Executive Officer Julian Setian. “As one of the largest providers of linguists in the federal government contracting industry today, SOSi brings decades of successful business experience to the EOIR. We are delighted with the opportunity to support EOIR in any language it needs.”

Currently, SOSi works with 59 Immigration courts as well as the Board of Immigration Appeals. SOSi has access to tens of thousands of linguists in all fifty states specializing in ever langue and dialect.
