WashingtonExec hosted its monthly Happy Hour for members of its executive Councils on Wednesday, May 6, at Maggiano’s in Tysons Corner. The event was sponsored by Unissant, an innovative software development and consulting company.

“The Unissant team enjoyed hosting a great group of partners and friends and appreciated everyone’s attendance, we look forward to building a fruitful relationship with everyone moving forward,” Unissant SVP of Market Development Will Rohde said.

WashingtonExec GovCon Executive Happy Hours provide attendees an opportunity nurture new relationships and cultivate old ones. The mission of these programs is to connect government contracting executives of consequence through targeted and trusted forums in the National Capital Region.

WashingtonExec is also proud to announce the formal launch of the WashingtonExec Internet of Things Council, headed by Chairperson Chris Smith of AT&T. IoT has disrupted the commercial sector and will soon effect the federal market place, whether in the intelligence community or citizen services. Speakers and topics will be selected from the intelligence, defense, healthcare and public safety sectors, as well as adjacent markets and commercial industries.

WashingtonExec continues to facilitate 8 Executive Councils, including the Big Data Council, Chaired by Gary Shiffman of Giant Oak, the Emerging Technologies Council, Chaired by Mark Cohn of Unisys Federal Systems, the Intelligence Council, Chaired by Mark Chadason of MacAulay-Brown, Inc., the Federal Acquisition Council, Chaired by James Scampavia of AMERICAN SYSTEMS, the Strategic Human Capital Council, Chaired by Steve Woolwine of AECOM, the Leadership Council Chaired by Greg Baroni of Attain, the Federal Business Council, Chaired by Sumeet Shrivastava of Array IT, and the STEM Council, Chaired by Ed Swallow of the Aerospace Corporation.
