Springfield, Va.-based Information Innovators Inc. (Triple-i) announced May 5 the acquisition of Creative Computing Solutions Inc. (CCSi), based in Rockville, Md.

The company brings mature business processes and industry-relevant credentials as a Third Party Assessment Organization (3PAO) for cloud service providers, a CMMI Level 3 assessed company for Services and Development, and multiple ISO certifications for 9001:2008, 20000-1:2011, 27001:2005 and 17020:2012.

“These are critical and compelling times for our government as they move toward a technological convergence,” Triple-i CEO Steve Ikirt said. “Bringing together Triple-i and CCSi enhances our organization to enable and support the solutions that our customers seek to achieve mission success. We are excited about this highly-complementary merger of two great firms and welcome CCSi to the Triple-i family.”

“The merger of Triple-i and CCSi will help Federal agencies such as the Defense Health Administration (DHA), VA and Health and Human Services (HHS) better adapt their practices and technology to fit the needs of people and deliver on the promise of people-centered care,” Triple-i’s Health Solutions business unit General Manager and former Principal Deputy Under Secretary for Benefits at the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) Leo Phelan said. “The expanded Triple-i team can now deliver world class clinical care design, informatics, research and analysis, education program design, health expert advisory services, program management and infrastructure that bridge the boundaries between the functional, clinical and technical worlds.”

“Through executive actions announced by President Obama in August 2014, our nation has renewed its commitment to caring for our service members and improving the quality of care for our veterans,” Triple-i Vice President for Health Services within the Health Solutions business unit Maggie Bauer said. “In supporting the Defense Centers of Excellence (DCoE) Psychological Health (PH) and Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI) programs and Veterans Affairs (VA) Office of Rural Health (ORH), we are honored to work to fulfill these goals.”

“Over past 10 years there has been an ongoing convergence of information, technology and people (aka the “ubiquitous internet of things”),” Triple-i General Manager of the new Cyber Security business unit Sue Palermo said. “This resulted in the expectation that data be available anytime, anywhere, and on any device. While this puts powerful possibilities in the hands of the user it also represents opportunity for misappropriation and can have grave consequences should data fall into the wrong hands. Our mission has focused on protecting DoD, Civilian, and the Intel Communities data from a network defense posture and ensuring their compliance with Government Cyber Regulations and Standards.”

SunTrust Robinson Humphrey Inc. served as financial advisor to CCSi on the transaction.
