Herdon, Va.-based ViON Corporation announced April 7 the appointment of Tony Encinias as the company’s newly-created Vice President for Public Sector Strategy.

Encinias previously served as the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania Chief Information Officer.
A retired U.S. Naval Officer, Encinias’ military career included serving at the Space and Naval Warfare Systems Command as the Relational Supply Application program manager, and in the Dept. of the Navy Chief Information Officer, as the Deputy Director for Innovation in the eBusiness Operations Office.
