Reston, Va.-based Serco Inc. announced April 24 that the company has been awarded a single-award indefinite delivery, indefinite quantity (IDIQ) Price Fighters contract to provide cost, price and engineering analyses for the U.S. Navy. The contract has a $20 million ceiling value over a one-year base period and three one-year options, plus a six-month option period.

“With today’s military being asked to do more-with-less, Serco helped pioneer this innovative program to help the Armed Forces acquire the best possible defense capabilities while minimizing cost and waste,” Serco Inc.’s Chairman and CEO Dan Allen said. “As a part of the Price Fighters program, Serco will continue to provide contracting officers with the tools and support to make sure that taxpayers are getting full value for their money.”

Serco will continue providing engineering-based cost analysis supporting the Navy, Army, Air Force and DoD in negotiating lower prices on weapons systems and parts.

The Price Fighters program was established to support federal government acquisition officials in procurement decisions.
