Reston, Va.-based Serco Inc. announced March 17 that the Navy Personnel Command has awarded the company a contract to provide Identification Card Administration (ICA) at 67 military sites worldwide. The four-year contract has a one-year base period and three one-year option periods, with a value of $42 million, if all options are exercised.
“Serco takes pride in delivering Defense Readiness services to our Nation’s military and their families,” Serco Inc.’s Chairman and CEO Dan Allen said. “This contract will allow our team to deliver an innovative and proven program that will continue to support members of the U.S. Navy.”
This task order was awarded under the SeaPort-e contract vehicle. It allows Serco to continue verifying entitlement and issuing identification cards to eligible active duty, reserve, retiree and contractor personnel, as well as eligible family members. Under the previous contract awarded in 2009, Serco has provided services to more than four million customers and issued more 1.5 million Common Access Cards (CAC).
