The WashingtonExec Federal Business Council hosted Chris Hamm, FEDSIM Operations Director at the General Services Administration (GSA) on Tuesday, Jan. 21, for a networking breakfast and roundtable discussion at The Tower Club, in Tysons Corner.
Council Chairman and ARRAY Information Technology President Sumeet Shrivastava welcomed the group, and Hamm was introduced by CACI Senior Vice President for Business Development Ravi Dankanikote.
Topics of the roundtable discussion included contract submissions via Blu-Ray, the evolving market bidding strategy and Hamm’s predictions for the future. He then took questions from attendees, who asked about defining mid-level businesses, the challenges of bidding in a LPTA environment and the potential for a standardized scorecard in the evaluation process of a contract.
“It was great to learn about GSA and how they’re evolving their acquisition approach to embrace technology to include video,” Castlemar Consulting Founder and President Mark Abel. “The WashingtonExec Breakfast Series is a great opportunity to learn about current trends and to meet peers in the industry.”
“It’s always good to talk with industry about alignment with agency mission, the impact of LPTA and changes in the acquisition marketplace,” Hamm said. “It was great dialogue.”
