Fairfax, Va.-based Salient Federal Solutions Inc. announced Jan. 13 that the company will be partnering with STS Systems Integration (SSI) LLC, the prime contractor, to provide English Language Training (ELT) to the Royal Saudi Air Force (RSAF) at Sheppard Air Force Base (AFB) in Wichita Falls, Texas. This two-year period of performance is a firm-fixed-price contract with a potential value of $2.8 million.
“We are excited for the opportunity to provide training services at every level of the pipeline for more than 5,000 RSAF technicians required to support the Fleet Modernization Program,” Salient CEO Brad Antle said. “It is strategically significant for the USAF to properly train the RSAF and successful English training is the essential first step for every person involved. Salient will provide ELT for up to 200 RSAF students as part of the Master Training Plan supporting RSAF training for its F-15SA Fleet Modernization Program under this contract.
RSAF students graduating from this program will proceed to technical training at Sheppard AFB, Texas; Keesler AFB, Mississippi; and Seymour Johnson AFB, South Carolina, where Salient instructors will provide basic maintenance skills to become qualified at the Apprentice Level. Upon successful completion of that training, students will further enhance their skills in F-15 upgrade training at the King Khalid Training Center in Khamis Mushayt, Saudi Arabia.
SSI is a Small Business Administration (SBA) certified 8(a) Alaska Native Corporation that operates throughout the continental U.S. and abroad at 17 DoD and federal locations providing technical, information management and engineering support services.
