Chantilly, Va.-based Vencore Inc. announced Dec. 3 the appointment of Steven Omick, Ph.D. as president of its Applied Communication Sciences (ACS) research and engineering lab located in Basking Ridge, N.J.
“Steven Omick brings a wealth of knowledge and mission-focused leadership experience to Vencore,” Vencore President and CEO Mac Curtis said. “His deep understanding of the complexities that challenge our customers, combined with his ability to lead the development of high-impact solutions will provide a direct benefit to our client base.”

Omick succeeds Brent Greene, who previously announced his retirement.

Omick is an 18-year veteran of the intelligence community.
Prior to joining Vencore, Omick was the president and CEO of Rincon Research Corporation.
Omick holds a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, a master’s degree specializing in power and control systems and a doctorate specializing in computational electromagnetics from New Mexico State University.
