Information technology and management consulting firm Project Performance Company (PPC), of McLean, Va., announced Dec. 11 that Chris Baglin will participate in the “Latin America & Caribbean Airport Resiliency Workshop: Working Together to Prepare for Natural Disasters,” sponsored by the US Trade and Development Agency in cooperation with the Federal Aviation Administration. The workshop will take place Dec. 15-17, in Miami, Fla.
“During a disaster event, the public looks to airports to lead in community response and recovery,” PPC President and CEO Paul Strasser said. “PPC’s role at the workshop is to show in a very practical way how airports, using technology and other preparedness and decision support tools, are addressing resiliency while maintaining a focus on immediate safety and mission concerns.”
PPC’s Critical Infrastructure team helps organizations manage their data to develop actionable information for decision support.
At the Miami workshop, Baglin will draw on her research and PPC’s resiliency and data management, data delivery and data analytics expertise to present best practices in integrating resiliency actions into airport asset management, risk management and other decision-making.
