Reston, Va.-based CRGT Inc. announced Dec. 9 the appointment of Charles L. (Chuck) McGann as Chief Cyber Strategist. He previously served as the Corporate Information Security Officer (CISO) for the U.S. Postal Service (USPS). His initial responsibilities include assisting customers to meet their cybersecurity goals.
“Chuck’s expertise will guide CRGT’s cyber strategy and assist in providing information assurance expertise to address our client’s mission needs,” CRGT President Tom Ferrando said. “Chuck will be a key contributor to CRGT as it expands its ability to support customer’s evolving cybersecurity objectives.”

McGann was responsible for securing one of the largest intranets in the world in his former position at USPS.
McGann earned an MBA from Strayer University, a bachelor’s degree from the University of Massachusetts, and two associate’s degrees from Springfield Technical Community College.
He is a Certified Information Systems Security Professional, a Certified Information Security Manager and holds a certification for information assurance methodology from the National Security Agency (NSA).
