Reston, Va.-based Whitney, Bradley & Brown Inc. (WBB) announced Nov. 19 that the company’s quality management system has been certified to the ISO 9001:2008[i]standard, an industry benchmark that ensures the delivery of consistently high-quality products and services to customers.
“The fact that we have now received ISO 9001:2008 certification is a testament to the uncompromising commitment to quality we give to our clients,” WBB’s CEO William McMullen said. “Standardization of our processes and systems has been a key focus area within our corporate strategy, ensuring that our clients receive high-quality service. Without the committed support from leadership and a large cross section of WBB employees, we could not have accomplished this goal and met our timeline.”
In order to achieve ISO 9001:2008 certification, companies must demonstrate that they have implemented an effective quality management system across all areas of the business: facilities, people, training and services. WBB selected BSI Management Systems to carry out the certification process. Auditors interviewed WBB management and employees, and reviewed procedures across all functional areas.
