TWD & Associates Inc. (TWD), a communication and collaboration solutions provider based in McLean, Va., announced Nov. 10 it has been awarded 10 new contracts and existing contract plus-ups with national security, defense and commercial customers to build and upgrade special purpose rooms and operations centers with advanced audio-visual (AV) solutions. The contracts are valued at more than $3.1 million.

“We are pleased to be awarded these contracts to support these vital projects,” TWD President and CEO Larry Besterman said. “These wins are a direct result of the hard work our team has put into expanding our AV capabilities, to include UC solutions. With our exceptional staff, extensive past performance, contracting vehicles and leading solution offerings, we are able to offer the public and private sector a unique value in support of their needs to collaborate more effectively.”

“Despite the fact that IT budgets have been declining in recent years, we’re seeing an upswing in the amount organizations are spending on integrating their voice, video and data capabilities,” Besterman said. “This highlights the importance of the evolving communications market and the increased focus on mobility. We look forward to working on these important projects as customers improve their ability to communicate, collaborate and deliver their business objectives and national-security focused missions.”

TWD will equip each room and operations center with video conferencing solutions, including comprehensive AV integration.

WashingtonExec last covered TWD when the company relocated its headquarters to the Tysons Corner area in October.
