NCI Inc., a provider of information technology (IT) and professional services and solutions to U.S. federal government agencies, announced Nov. 13 that it has earned the 2015 Military Friendly Employer designation by Victory Media, publisher of G.I. Jobs and Military Spouse.
“We take great pride in being recognized as a military-friendly employer,” NCI’s president Brian J. Clark said. “It is a privilege to work alongside these talented individuals who are a valued part of our company. In serving our customers, our veteran employees are continuing their lifelong dedication to the missions of our government and the military.”
“The 2015 Military Friendly Employers represent the preeminent tier of companies with strong military recruitment programs and meaningful job opportunities for transitioning service members and spouses,” Victory Media VP Sean Collins said. “Our Military Friendly Employers constitute the group of companies moving the needle and realizing significant benefits by hiring from the military community. This year’s group of companies reported hiring over 155,000 service members and spouses over the last 12 months, representing a 35 percent increase over last year and an average of 15 percent of total new hires.”
The Reston, Va.-based company competed for the title by completing a data-driven survey, with data independently tested by Ernst & Young LLP, based upon the weightings and methodology established by Victory Media and its Advisory Board. Criteria for the survey included a benchmark score across key programs and policies, such as the strength of company military recruiting efforts, percentage of new hires with prior military service, retention programs for veterans and company policies on National Guard and Reserve service.
Military Friendly Employers is a resource for transitioning service members and spouses seeking civilian employment. Each year, companies taking the survey are held to a higher standard than the previous year via improved methodology, criteria and weightings developed with the assistance of an Advisory Board consisting of leaders in the military recruitment community.
NCI will be showcased with other 2015 Military Friendly Employers in the December issue of G.I. Jobs magazine, as well as on MilitaryFriendly.com.
