IT services provider NCI Inc. announced Nov. 25 that U.S. Southern Command (SOUTHCOM) has awarded the company a new firm-fixed price contract valued at $12.3 million.

The Reston, Va-based company will provide command, control, communications and computer systems (C4S) and IT services to support SOUTHCOM’s Joint Task Force-Bravo (JTF-B), as well as all tenants and activities at Soto Cano Air Base, Honduras. The award falls under NCI’s General Services Administration (GSA) Alliant contract and consists of a nine-month base period and one option year.

“NCI is proud to assume this vital role in support of SOUTHCOM,” NCI president Brian J. Clark said. “Our extensive experience providing operations and maintenance of C4S in CONUS and OCONUS areas of operations enables us to deliver world-class information and computer services to meet the needs of this important customer.”

NCI’s services under this contract include communications and information system planning, acquisition, engineering, installation, maintenance, management, operations and disposition support to both core JTF-B mission areas and other government organizations and agencies as required during contingency and emergency operations. The work will take place onsite in the Republic of Honduras and other remote locations associated with C4S activities.

JTF-B is one of two task forces under SOUTHCOM. It promotes regional cooperation and security necessary to prevent conflict, respond to crises and conduct military operations in the Caribbean, Central America and South America areas of responsibility.

WashingtonExec covered NCI Inc. earlier this month when the company was named a 2015 Military Friendly Employer by Victory Media.
