McLean, Va.-based HumanTouch announced Nov. 18 the General Services Administration (GSA) has selected EnLight, a Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) application, to integrate the management of the Agency’s information technology investments and processes.
“EnLight is an example of the type of solution organizations can configure and deploy using the Platform-as-a-Service (PaaS) model,” HumanTouch Senior Vice President Jim Benson said. “PaaS enables us to deploy and configure solutions that meet our client’s needs much faster than if we were building or customizing a solution from scratch. We can save our clients potentially millions of dollars because we install a pre-built application and then configure it to meet their needs. The days of custom coding everything are gone.”
“PaaS affords organizations, big and small, the nimble approach they need to meet challenges successfully,” HumanTouch LLC Founder, President and CEO Moe Jafari said in an October interview with WashingtonExec. “Platform-as-a-Service (PaaS) is the missing link companies need to keep pace with evolving technologies. Having a toolset within a platform that allows them to change their workflow, or to change based upon initiatives that are being headed up by the White House, keeps them very nimble and allows them to be able to do things rather quickly in days and weeks, as opposed to months and years.”
The combination of data management, reporting and dashboards within the application improves operational efficiencies and provides greater visibility and transparency into IT operations. This allows IT to make more-informed decisions, gain greater insight into internal and contractor performance, and reduce the cost and risk of IT programs, according to HumanTouch’s press release.
