As the busy fall season arrives, we are seeing a lot of activity in the government contracting industry. Here’s what happened last week, in case you missed it:
WashingtonExec‘s SeptSTEMber series continued as we spoke with George Mason University’s Dr. Kamaljeet Sanghera, who says policymakers should help link STEM issues to economic prosperity; Dr. Evan Glazer, Principal at Thomas Jefferson High School for Science and Technology, who mentioned the need of STEM mentors; and Dr. Padhu Seshaiyer, Professor of Mathematical Sciences, Director of STEM Accelerator Program and Director of the COMPLETE Center at George Mason University (GMU), who spoke about motivating the next generation of STEM professionals.
Responses from the 2014 GovCon Award nominees also poured in. We heard from Audacious Inquiry’s Christopher Brandt, Eagle Ray Inc.’s Babs Doherty, NetCentrics Corp.’s Bob Dougherty, Preferred Systems Solutions’ Scott Goss, By Light Professional IT Services Inc.’s Bob Donahue and The Ambit Group’s Kim Hayes.
WashingtonExec has restarted it’s “Three Pieces of Advice to Your Kids” column, and our coverage of contract awards, acquisitions and executive moves continues.
