    SAVE THE DATE: 27th Annual GCN Awards Gala, Oct. 14

    Government Computer News will host its 27th Annual Awards Gala from 6:00 to 10:00 p.m. Oct. 14, 2014, at the Ritz-Carlton, Tysons Corner. The event honors federal, state and local government teams for their IT accomplishments and contributions to the performance of their agencies.

    Dept. of the Army Deputy Chief Information Officer Michael Krieger will also be honored as the recipient of the GCN 2014 Hall of Fame award in recognition of his distinguished career guiding the Army toward a digital, networked future.

    The program for the evening includes an invitation-only VIP reception from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m.; a general reception from 6:00 to 7:00 pm.; dinner and awards presentation from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m.; and dessert reception from 9:00 to 10:00 p.m. The gala is a black tie optional event.
