The Inaugural Boulder Crest Retreat Charity Golf Tournament, held Sept. 18 at the Stoneleigh Golf and Country Club, raised more than $100,000 from the registrations of golfers, a silent auction and on-site donations.
Boulder Crest Retreat for Military and Veteran Wellness is a country retreat in Bluemont, Va. providing free accommodations, activities and programs for wounded soliders and their families to relax and reconnect during their recovery and rehabilitation.
The money will pay for 297 nights at the retreat for almost a year.
“I am honored by the leadership commitment from CRGT and VMSI (Veterans Management Services Inc.). Their continued support helps us enhance the lives of our military and veterans and their families here at the retreat,” Chairman and Founder of Boulder Crest Ken Falke said in a statement.
“We are very proud to support Boulder Crest in their efforts to improve the lives of our returning veterans,” CRGT SVP Sal Fazzolari said. “It was a beautiful day and a great experience to be with other sponsoring companies and volunteers at this event.”
Presenting sponsors CRGT and VMSI had a group participating in the golf tournament. CRGT provided publicity for the event and brought 11 volunteers.
