Bridges to Community (BTC) will host its 7th Annual “Raise the Roof” fundraiser on Wednesday, Oct. 8, from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. at Top of the Town, 1400 N. 14th St., in Arlington.

BTC is an international not-for-profit organization that provides service learning and community development opportunities through the engagement of volunteers to work in developing countries.

The evening will feature food, beverages, music, a silent auction and a raffle for a BTC trip. The organization’s goal is to raise $40,000, which will be enough to build 10 houses in Nicaragua. The group plans to travel in January to build two homes.

The cost to attend is $50.00. For more information, go to the event’s website.
