The D.C.-based education technology company EverFi Inc. announced Sept. 19 its new partnership with The White House on the “It’s On Us” college campus sexual assault prevention initiative.
“When you get that dream acceptance letter into college, it shouldn’t also mean your risk of being sexually assaulted goes up,” EverFi COO Tammy Wincup said in a statement. “Along with committed campuses, students’ voices can play a significant role in turning this tide. We are honored to join forces with the White House to champion preventative education and ensure all campuses and students have access to research-based digital learning.”
EverFit offers a 45-minute long online course called Haven on the topic of sexual assault education and prevention, specifically sexual assault, relationship violence and stalking. It provides reflective and personalized content; bystander skill and confidence-building strategies; campus-specific policies, procedures and resources; and data summaries to inform future programming, according to the program’s website.
More than 200 colleges and universities have implemented Haven within the past 60 days.
EverFi is an education technology company that focuses on teaching, assessing, badging, and certifying students in critical skills such as financial education and substance abuse prevention.
