Novetta Solutions, a McLean, Va.-based agile big data solutions company, acquired SigInt Technologies earlier this month in a move that expands its intelligence community-tailored analytics offering.
The acquisition comes days after Novetta, a portfolio company of private equity firm Arlington Capital Partners, also acquired Global News Intelligence — a company that offers sentiment and influence analytics tools to the IC.
SigInt was founded in 2005 also specializes in Digital Signal Processing (DSP) in addition to its intelligence analysis solutions.
“We are very impressed with SigInt’s technical capabilities,” said Peter LaMontagne, chief executive at Novetta. “Bringing our teams together will enable us to better support our respective customers and mission areas.”
The company will be integrated into Novetta’s Columbia, Md.-based “Cyber SIGINT and Discovery Division.” Novetta Senior Vice President John Skordas heads the division.
“We couldn’t be happier to join a team that shares our passion for excellence and our focus on national security,” said SigInt CEO Gregory Klassen. “The new team will enable us to create even more value for our IC customers.”
