Novetta Solutions, LLC (Novetta) has appointed Richard Clements as its new chief marketing officer. The McLean-based technology firm specializes in advanced analytics and has over 500 employees across the country. In his new role, Clements will direct branding and positioning to support Novetta’s value proposition and create new marketing capabilities for the company.
Prior to joining Novetta, Clements served as IBM’s director of marketing in the Big Data division. In that role, he developed the company’s worldwide marketing strategy for the Big Data and Analytics Platform including IBM’s products related to Hadoop analytics and stream computing, both of which lead their respected markets. Clements came to IBM through the acquisition of Initiate Systems where he led product marketing to a period of 50 percent compound annual growth. He was also key in helping the company transition from being a healthcare enterprise master patient index company to a cross-industry master data management leader.
Clements brings more than 15 years of software marketing experience to Novetta. He earned his B.S. in aeronautical/astronautical engineering from Purdue University and his MBA from Virginia Tech University. Clements frequently speaks on the subjects of big data and analytics, cognitive computing, business process management and integration, and master data management.
“The appointment of Richard as Chief Marketing Officer reflects the continued momentum of Novetta as we deliver advanced analytic solutions to some of the world’s largest government agencies and commercial enterprises,” said Novetta’s CEO, Peter LaMontagne. “He has an exceptional track record in enterprise software – in market strategy, promoting awareness, and driving demand.
