DataRPM has announced that big data expert and 20-year industry veteran Alexander Stojanovic has joined its advisory board. The Fairfax-based company provides a platform for cognitive big data discovery and developed the patent-pending Computational Graph Search technology.
Stojanovic is a vice president at Oracle, where he founded and leads the business strategy for the new Oracle Data Enrichment Cloud Service. Prior to joining Oracle, he was general partner and chief scientist at Frost Data Capital, where he worked on cloud analytics platforms, exploratory data analysis platforms and semantic search. He also co-founded Ubix Labs, a real-time analytics cloud startup, and he was involved with Hadoop-based semantic indexing and search startup MAANA from its inception.
“We are honored to add a Big Data pioneer and technology expert of Alexander’s caliber to our advisory board,” said Sundeep Sanghavi, co-founder and CEO of DataRPM. “Having someone of Alexander’s stature lending his proficiency to DataRPM’s disruptive instant Big Data discovery solution will be an invaluable asset for our company and a tremendous boon for our customers.”
“DataRPM has a clear and disruptive view of Big Data discovery – far larger than traditional information retrieval and indexing solutions aimed at enterprises,” said Alexander Stojanovic. “The company is led by a passionate, articulate and tech-savvy team of founders along with a top-notch cadre of business and technical professionals who truly understand how to distill complex technologies – natural language processing, machine learning and large-scale computing – into a compelling form that businesses can harness immediately.”
Stojanovic added:
“This is a market which will explode over the next five years as the interface gap between how business people need to find, share and leverage knowledge at scale moves up the stack from APIs and programming frameworks to the sorts of natural language interfaces and models that DataRPM offers. I am proud to join as an advisor and provide my expertise to the DataRPM leadership team.”
