Arlington-based Subsystem Technologies (SUBSYSTEMs) this week announced that it has won a $4.4 million task order from the U.S. Army’s Armament Research, Development and Engineering Center (ARDEC) in New Jersey. Specifically, the contract will provide Towed Artillery Digitization Program Support.

ARDEC focuses on advancing armaments technology and engineering and is one of the U.S. Army Materiel Command’s specialized research, development, and engineering centers.

Specifically, this contract will allow SUBSYTEMs to provide engineering, hardware and software design and development, technical support, proto-typing, and testing support for the Digital Fire Control Systems (DFCS) that are used on towed artillery weapons systems.

“SUBSYSTEMs’ award of this opportunity by the Army Contracting Contract continues our long-term partnership with the US Army ARDEC and is an excellent example of our commitment to customer service and satisfaction,” said Defense Division Director Indra Nayee. “This opportunity demonstrates our successful strategy to secure current efforts in our advanced engineering core competency.”

Most recently SUBSYSTEMs, with LS Technologies, LLC (LST),was awarded the Acquisition Support Services Contract (ASSC) for Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Field Operations, through the Electronic FAA Accelerated and Simplified Task (eFAST) contract vehicle in June 2014.
