MicroPact Inc. today announced it has received Agency Authority to Operate (ATO) from the U.S. Department of the Interior under the Federal Risk and Authorization Management Program (FedRAMP). This certification enables MicroPact to provide its full product suite, which includes icomplaints® and entellitrak®, to federal agencies via a Platform as a Service (PaaS) model.
“FedRAMP authorization is a critical milestone in MicroPact’s ongoing efforts to deliver secure cloud solutions to our U.S. government clients,” said Kris Collo, President, CEO and Founder of MicroPact. “With FedRAMP, MicroPact strengthens our partnership with the Department of Interior while giving increased confidence to all our federal customers in the security of their cloud systems.”
FedRAMP uses a standardized approach to security assessment, authorization, and monitoring for cloud-based services. It was developed in collaboration with the General Services Administration (GSA), the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST), the Department of Defense (DOD), and the Department of Homeland Security (DHS).
MicroPact has been developing enterprise tracking software, legal management tools, and database services for organizations since 1997. The FedRAMP certification will enable federal customers to more readily leverage MicroPact’s cloud environment to store, process and protect sensitive government data as well as to develop solutions with the entellitrak platform.
