Cindy Walker, Salient Federal Solutions’ (Salient) Vice President of Data Analytics Center of Excellence will be presenting today on “The What, Why & How of Big Data” at the Insurance Accounting & Systems Association, Incorporated (IASA) Conference in Austin, Texas.
Walker heads up strategy and innovations spanning predictive analytics, agile business intelligence and big data solutions for Salient’s customers. Her presentation will focus on the different types of visualization tools available for analyzing data with finance and accounting business scenarios. She will demonstrate examples of visual displays of data findings that can help businesses communicate analytical insights and accelerate decision-making.
“The goal of any analytics solution is to provide organizations with actionable insight to proactively drive better business outcomes and improve customer service levels,” says Walker. “Understanding what each analytics type can deliver, then aligning the analytics function to an organization’s operational needs can provide a dependable path to an optimal solution that can address business needs.”
Walker will explain the four primary categories of analytics in her sessions, including descriptive, diagnostic, predictive and prescriptive insights. She will also demonstrate examples of visual displays of data findings that can help businesses communicate analytical insights and accelerate decision-making.
IASA is a non-profit, education association with the goal of enhancing the knowledge of insurance professionals and others allied with the industry. The conference is being held at the Omni Barton Creek Resort & Spa in Austin, July 24 – 25. Walker’s presentation will take place today from 4:30 p.m. – 5:30 p.m.
