Doug Lane will join Capgemini Government Solutions, LLC as chief executive tasked with overseeing the Capgemini Group subsidiary’s strategic direction and solutions delivery, the company announced Tuesday.

The former A.T. Kearney lead partner boasts a 30 year career in IT and consulting and will report in his new role to Tim Bridges, the CEO of Capgemini US LLC.

Lane prior to leading business development and service delivery at A.T. Kearney led Booz Allen Hamilton as senior vice president. He’s also held partner roles at IBM and PricewaterhouseCoopers.

“Doug is a leader in government technology consulting across the federal, state and local levels, helping agencies and firms generate operational efficiencies with their IT management systems and services to increase business value,” Bridges said. “Our government solutions team is an invaluable technology provider to our clients as they digitally transform their operations and, with Doug’s leadership, can help them take advantage of new opportunities and trends, such as cloud, mobility, social and big data.”

Capgemini Government Solutions is a Reston, Va.-based provider of IT systems integration and consulting. The company in January appointed  Galeos Group Chairman and CEO Phil Nolan to the company’s board of directors as an outside director.
