CALIBRE Systems, Inc.’s John Mutarelli and Jeffrey Giangiuli are transitioning through the firm, the company announced in a press statement Tuesday.

Mutarelli, formerly the executive vice president & chief operations officer, will now serve as senior executive vice president and chief financial officer of the management consulting and technology services company.

Giangiuli will leave his post as senior vice president of operations to occupy the EVP and COO posts left open by Mutarelli.

“These leadership changes position CALIBRE to continue our success as we implement our Strategic Plan,” said Joe Martore, the company’s CEO and president. “Mr. Mutarelli and Mr. Giangiuli have the experience, talent, and demonstrated performance to help lead CALIBRE as we continue to grow and provide value to our customers and business partners.”

Mutarelli joined CALIBRE almost 20 years ago and began his professional career serving as a U.S. Army officer — a post he held for 28 years. Giangiuli served prior to joining CALIBRE in 2004 as co-founder and Principal of Strategic Management Initiatives, Inc. (SMI).

Mr. Giangiuli joined CALIBRE in 2004. Prior to joining CALIBRE, Mr. Giangiuli was Principal and co-founder of Strategic Management Initiatives, Inc. (SMI), a small business management consulting firm, providing strategic management and engineering analyses of the problems facing Fortune 500 companies and the U.S. Government in their management of complex technologies and processes.

CALIBRE has been operating since 1989.
