MacAulay-Brown, Inc. (MacB), an engineering services and product solutions company with national capital headquarters in Vienna, Va., on Monday announced it will serve the U.S. Air Force through a $900 million multiple award indefinite delivery/indefinite quantity contract.

The five-year deal contracts the seasoned national security company to provide Homeland Defense and security research, development, test and evaluation as well as advisory and assistance services.

“The nature of the threat to the homeland is dynamic and growing,” said Fred Norman, the general manager and senior vice president of MacB’s Mission Systems Group. “The work delivered as part of the [Homeland Defense and Security Technical Area Tasks (HD TATs)] effort ensures that we are examining all aspects of current and future threats and designing programs to strengthen our defenses.”

The company’s specific work will be related to chemical, radiological, biological and nuclear defense, homeland security and defense, weapons of mass destruction, critical infrastructure protection, biometrics, medical and cultural studies among other areas.

MacB is among 11 other companies set to complete task orders for the Air Force under the federal contract set to be completed by April 2019.
