Science Applications International Corporation (SAIC) announced earlier this month it will provide training services to program offices based primarily in San Diego, Calif. for the  Space and Naval Warfare Systems Center Pacific’s (SSC PACIFIC) Training Development and Support Center.

The indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity multiple-award contract — awarded to four companies including SAIC — is valued at $35 million and has a three year performance period.

SSC Pacific serves as a technical leader within the U.S. Navy by providing a slew of services including: surveillance and reconnaissance technologies, computers, communications, intelligence, integrated command, full life cycle support and research among other capabilities.

Tom Watson, the senior vice president for the SAIC Navy and Marine Corps Group said the company looks forward to executing the task order-win.

“We are pleased to continue to provide training support to fleet sailors and SSC Pacific on new and legacy systems,” Watson said in a company press statement. “This enables fleet users to be prepared to effectively operate and troubleshoot critical systems for the U.S. Navy.”

SAIC, headquarters in McLean, Va., is a leading technology integrator in the technical, engineering, and enterprise information technology markets.
