A-T Solutions Inc., a counterterrorism company based in Vienna, Va., has been awarded a $37 million order by the Naval Surface Warfare Center Dahlgren Division in support of the Naval Expeditionary Forensics and Biometrics program to assist in providing forensic support to all branches of the military, according to a company press release this week.

“We are honored to have this opportunity to support the NEFB team in this extremely critical area of operations,” said Dennis Kelly, president and CEO of A-T Solutions. “Forensics and biometrics are especially essential to our nation’s and allies’ efforts to thwart terrorism and bring terrorists to justice. We look forward to our talented and highly experienced team providing exceptional in-field expertise, knowledge and technology tools to support the NSWCDD in this vital mission.”

The NEFB program provides expeditionary and reach-back forensic and biometric exploitation analysis support to various operational agencies, and aims to provide rapid results to meet intelligence, security, stability and law enforcement needs in the areas of forensic and biometric science. The program will help NEFB provide full-service forensic support to the Department of Defense and other operational entities worldwide. NEFB teams will deliver specialized forensics and biometrics exploitation, analysis and research capabilities designed to provide unique solutions to nonstandard problems.

Under the program, A-T Solutions’ responsibilities include program management and technical support; engineering and technician services; logistical and installation services; deployment planning, execution and personnel support; website and data management services; equipment, materials, and supplies management; explosive ordnance disposal support; and forensic services in the DNA, chemistry, firearm and tool mark, and latent print disciplines. A-T Solutions will also provide technical and nontechnical support to the NSWCDD as it supports the global DoD forensics requirements.

In addition to A-T Solutions’ Vienna headquarters, the company has an operations and training center in Fredericksburg, Va., and additional offices in Virginia Beach, Va., San Diego, Calif.; Niceville and Orlando, Fla.; Boise, Idaho; Fort Leonard Wood, Mo.; Fort Bragg, N.C.; the Netherlands; and Canada.
