    Save the Date for HRLA’s 2014 Education Workshop March 6

    Save the Date for The Human Resources Leadership Awards’ (HRLA) 2014 Education Workshop on March 6th 2014. The event will explore how collaboration is shaping work environments and employee development programs.

    The workshop will be held at the Dulles Executive Conference and Training Center in Dulles from 7:45 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. The cost is $50 per person and includes breakfast and a snack break.

    A keynote address will be given by Alice Waagen, president of Workforce Learning, LLC.

    Workshop highlights include HRLA Nomination Tips and Strategies for Winning with Susie Bonvouloir, chief human resources executive and a former HRLA judge and finalist; Setting the Stage for Collaboration with Goodwill Insutrties of Central Virginia’s President and CEO Charles D. Layman; Mark Barth, CIO; and Rick Carr, vice president of HR; and Cross Industry Collaboration with CACI’s Senior Vice Presidents Paul Patton, Lora Drewer and Mary Baggett; the company’s director, Capt. Kelly Greiner, USAF, EWI Fellow; and Capt. Marco Campos, USAF, EWI Fellow.

    And, 3.75 HRCI Business Recertification credit hours have been approved, according to HRLA.

    In other HRLA news, the deadline for its leadership awards is March 15. If you know someone who deserves this recognition, email info@hrleadership.org. Professionals interested in a possible $4,000 toward an HR degree program should apply and enter.
