McLean, Va.-based Dovel Technologies announced Tuesday it will collaborate with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) on a  five-year, indefinite-delivery, indefinite-quantity Division Information Office Application Modernization and Development Support contract.

Dovel Technologies provides application development and emerging information technology solutions.

“This is a huge win for Dovel as the work falls completely within our core competency of innovative software development,” said Dovel CEO Paul Leslie. “Our team brings experience supporting the SEC and we look forward to help the agency quickly implement solutions around today’s challenges – modernizing legacy systems and developing new user-friendly system capabilities.”

The contract will support the SEC Office of Information Technology (OIT) Division Information Office (DIO) in acquiring modernization and development services and will include software upgrades and enhancements, application re-engineering and modernization, new application development, configuration deployment and testing and system specifications and knowledge transfer, according to a company press release.

Acentia LLC and Ascella Technologies, Inc. are Dovel’s teaming partners for the contract. Its base period is five years, with one five-year option period. There were six DIOMDS awardees in total, according to Dovel Technologies, with a contract ceiling of $80 million.
