    Serco, Inc. Appoints Al Pisani as Senior Vice President of Corporate Development

    Serco Inc., a technology, professional and management services provider headquartered in Reston, Va., announced Wednesday that it has appointed Al Pisani as Senior Vice President of Corporate Development.

    “Al joins us at a critical time in our industry,” said Serco Chairman and CEO Dan Allen. “We look forward to having his extensive knowledge and expertise as we strengthen Serco’s position in the marketplace.”

    Pisani will  in his role report to Allen and oversee corporate development, strategy planning, mergers and acquisitions, program management center of excellence and customer satisfaction activities. He will serve on the executive leadership team focusing on growth in the company’s strategic markets, expanding capabilities consistent with Serco’s core service offerings, according to a press statement released by the company.

    “This is an exciting time to be joining Serco,” said Pisani. “Dan has brought some exciting ideas to the company in his first few months as CEO. I look forward to working with him and the entire Serco team in building the next chapter of the company’s growth.”

    Pisani has more than 30 years of government contracting experience and joins Serco after serving nearly five years as a senior vice president at TASC, Inc., overseeing the company’s Intelligence Group. Prior to that , Pisani served in numerous leadership positions as corporate officer at Northrop Grumman, heading up business development in the civilian sector and also working in its Homeland Security Program Management Office.

    Most recently Pisani has led efforts focused on delivering specialized mission engineering, integration and tactical operations expertise to core intelligence community members, specifically the National Security Agency, the Central Intelligence Agency and the Defense Intelligence Agency, among others.

    Mark HuYoung, managing partner of NorthWind Partners, said he felt enthusiastic about the appointment.

    “With a 30-year career segued between operations and business development leadership and experience supporting a broad range of customers, Al Pisani is a strong fit to lead all corporate development activities for Serco,” HuYoung said. “Al possesses the ability to earn trust and confidence quickly at all levels and deep experience in strategic and tactical endeavors, understanding the critical linkage between the two that translates to success and profitability. Additionally, he has a competitive nature, which will play well in what is undoubtedly a highly competitive market.”
