MacAulay-Brown, Inc.(MacB), a leading National Security company providing innovative engineering and technical solutions to Defense, Intelligence, Homeland Security and Federal agencies, has named Donald Raines Senior Vice President of Corporate Business Development and Capture. Raines will report directly to MacB President and CEO, Sid Fuchs, from the company’s National Capital Headquarters located in Vienna, Va.
Raines’ experience includes 30 years in business development, acquisition, program management and national security planning for defense and intelligence agencies. At MacB, Raines will lead the organization’s strategic business development, capture and proposal efforts and work closely with its Operations and Administration teams.
“Don is one of the industry’s most respected business development executives,” Fuchs said. “His demonstrated leadership, expertise and proven track record for cultivating relationships and winning strategic new business is exactly what we need to keep MacB on our growth trajectory. This is especially critical for us as we continue to add new capabilities to our portfolio, such as the recent acquisitions of Commonwealth Technology, Inc. (CTI) and Secure Computing and Communications.”
Raines is taking over the position previously held by James Soos. He is now MacB’s Senior Vice President of Corporate Strategy and Communications. In his new role, Soos will contribute to the company’s strategic business objectives and oversee key corporate initiatives, including Mergers and Acquisitions (M&A), strategic planning and investment management, emerging market trends and business expansion opportunities.
“MacB has experienced significant growth over the past several years. To ensure that we continue to meet our aggressive strategic business objectives, we needed someone of Jim’s caliber and experience to identify and lead the business initiatives that will propel the company forward. On behalf of everyone at MacB, I would like to congratulate Jim as he takes on this vital new role,” Fuchs added.
