Janet Foutty, principal, Deloitte Consulting LLP and Federal Consulting‘s national managing director, will be taking on the role of federal practice leader.
Foutty will oversee the $1.4 billion Deloitte Federal Practice, which provides consulting, risk advisory and financial advisory services to every cabinet-level agency in the U.S. government, and boasts more than 7,350 professionals.
“We congratulate Janet as she takes on the role of Federal leader,” said Jim Moffatt, chairman and chief executive officer of Deloitte Consulting LLP. “Janet’s tremendous track record in technology services and financial services with our commercial clients will be a great asset to federal agencies as they look for solutions to achieve their mission.”
Foutty, a Deloitte employee for the past 22 years, has served as Deloitte’s managing director of technology in the United States and globally.
During that time, the technology service area flourished under her leadership, according to the company, and she kicked off multiple new businesses, including Customer Solutions and Deloitte Digital. She also helped drive the 2012 acquisition of Übermind – an innovative mobile agency.
Foutty succeeds Maritza Montiel, who will continue as deputy chief executive officer, Deloitte LLP, and senior partner and advisor to the Federal Practice in addition to her role as a member of the Deloitte Touche Tohmatsu Limited global board of directors.
“I am pleased that Janet Foutty will take on the role as the federal leader, in addition to continuing her responsibilities as the Federal Consulting national managing director,” said Montiel. “I am excited about the leadership and vision Janet brings, along with her energy to provide exceptional service to our clients.”
While at Deloitte, Foutty also served on the Financial Services Industry leadership team and the Women’s Initiative and Diversity & Inclusion leadership councils.
