Northrop Grumman Corporation has signed an agreement with CA Technologies in order to increase the organization’s cloud-based services within the health care, civil government, and state and local markets sectors. Northrop Grumman will now provide customers with CA CloudMinder–a secure, cost-effective identity and access management (IAM) solution.
The software-as-a-service (SaaS)-based platform provides user provisioning; self-service user management and an access request system; strong risk-based authentication; and federated single sign-on for both cloud-based and on-premise applications.
“Protecting the security and privacy of our clients’ information is a top concern for Northrop Grumman. Providing the right access to the right information is also particularly important in the health IT market,” stated Amy Caro, vice president of health IT programs for Northrop Grumman. “By working together to build a secure cyberspace, Northrop Grumman and CA Technologies will be able to better address our clients’ mission needs and deliver cost-effective, low-risk solutions.”
“The U.S. government’s cloud-first strategy, combined with the cybersecurity Executive Order, demands unique solutions that help agencies secure their hybrid IT environments,” Mike Denning, senior vice president and general manager, Security Solutions, CA Technologies, said. “We look forward to working with Northrop Grumman and supporting its IAM-as-a-service solution for its government customers and improve security and efficiencies, reduce risk, and help meet cybersecurity mandates across cloud and on-premise applications.”
Northrop Grumman recently won a follow-on contract with the U.S. Air Force Research Laboratory, details of which can be found here.
