The Washington Business Hall of Fame recently inducted Northern Virginia Technology Council President (NVTC) and CEO Bobbie Kilberg as a laureate at a ceremony honoring outstanding leaders and entrepreneurs in the Washington, D.C. metropolitan area.

“NVTC is a major force for growth and community in our region and it is the reason I am at this podium this evening,” said Kilberg in her acceptance speech. “NVTC member companies are driven to do their best for their clients, for our community and for our country, and they are passionate about innovation, about entrepreneurship, about creating jobs and growing the economy,” she added.

Founded in 1988 by The Greater Washington Board of Trade, Junior Achievement of Greater Washington, and The Washingtonian, The Washington Business Hall of Fame is an annual induction ceremony lauding industry pioneers who, through their work, have made a significant contribution to the quality of life in Greater Washington. Proceeds from the black-tie dinner and awards ceremony benefited Junior Achievement’s efforts to empower young people to own their economic success.

Fellow Laureate inductees included William Couper, retired president of the Mid-Atlantic Region of Bank of America; Mark Ordan, CEO of Sunrise Senior Living; and Linda P. Hudson, president and CEO of BAE Systems Inc., who is slated to be an NVTC Titans Speaker on Jan. 30.
