PAE, a leading provider of integrated global mission services, has appointed John Heller as its Chief Executive Officer. Heller, who will officially begin his new role with PAE today, will focus on executing the strategic vision for building the company into an industry-leading provider of services to the U.S. government.

“John has valuable experience, from successfully growing companies in the government and commercial services market and from his service in the military, that will benefit PAE as it continues to expand,” said Paul Cofoni, who serves as the Executive Chairman of the PAE Board of Directors. “He has a deep respect for our customers’ missions and will implement strategies that will ensure the high quality of our services as we serve a broadening market.”

“PAE has an excellent reputation with its customers and its employees, and I look forward to helping the company continue its track record of success,” said Heller. “I’m honored to lead this team of motivated employees who support the critical missions of the U.S. government.”

Mike Dignam, who has served as the President of PAE since 2010, will continue in this role and report to Heller. Heller joins PAE from Engility Corporation, where he has served as Senior Vice President and Chief Operating Officer since January 2013, after the company was spun-off from L-3 Communications. Prior to this role, Heller served as President of the Professional Support Services Division of L-3 Communications, a position he accepted in April 2012 to support Engility’s transition to operating as an independent and publicly traded company. Before joining L-3, Heller held several leadership positions at Harris Corporation, including President of Harris IT Services and Vice President and General Manager of the division’s Department of Defense programs. He also served as President and Chief Operating Officer of Multimax, Inc. and led its sale to Harris Corporation in 2007.

Heller is a graduate of the U.S. Military Academy at West Point and received a master’s degree in business administration from the University of Pittsburgh. He serves on the Business Alumni Association Board of Directors for the Joseph M. Katz Graduate School of Business and College of Business Administration at the University of Pittsburgh.
