The Federal Cloud Computing Summit: Innovators of Ubiquitous IT will be held on Tuesday, December 17, 2013 at the Ronald Reagan Building and International Trade Center in Washington, D.C.

The Cloud Summit, hosted by the Advanced Mobility Academic Research Center (AMARC), will bring together IT leaders from the government to discuss the benefits cloud and virtualization will provide the federal government: improved efficiency, increased security and reduced costs.

The full-day event is free for government employees and will feature a Cloud Technology Showcase demonstrating the latest technologies from leading IT innovators. MITRE will also host Cloud Collaboration Sessions with subject-matter experts from government and industry to discuss and collaborate on four cloud computing challenge areas: Interoperability & Portability; End-to-End Service Delivery; Federal-Wide Standards for SLAs; and Cyber Security.

Keith Trippie (DHS) and Greg Mundell (InfoZen) will serve as Co-Chairs of the premier government technology symposium for federal government and private sector professionals to explore and discuss the latest tools, trends and strategies driving the adoption of cloud and virtualization.

The AMARC mission is to optimize the delivery of government services through the utilization of mobile communications technology, expand academic research capabilities within government organizations, and promote STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering & Mathematics) training at academic institutions.
