Sage Communications, a leading integrated marketing and communications agency, has acquired Longbottom Communications, one of the commercial satellite and space industry’s leading marketing and public relations firms. The strategic investment will support the company’s long-term strategic growth goals to increase its position in the satellite industry.

“Longbottom brings a wealth of understanding of the satellite industry, and is known as a leading marketing and PR advisor to satellite companies around the globe,” said Larry Rosenfeld, CEO, Sage Communications.

Upon finalizing the agreement on Nov. 6, Longbottom Communications will operate as a Division of Sage Communications. The Division will continue to operate under the leadership of Penelope Longbottom and Patrick Boyle, and its current staff will remain intact to support its clients.

“I am excited about the opportunity to offer Sage’s wide range of strategic and creative capabilities to our clients, said Penelope Longbottom, President, Longbottom Communications.  “Sage has proven experience developing marketing, branding and PR campaigns for clients in the commercial and government markets. We look forward to building on this foundation in the future.”

The companies will debut as a unified firm at the 2013 Satellite Communications Conference & Expo (SATCON), November 13-14 at the Javits Convention Center in New York City.

“By bringing Longbottom into the Sage family, we enhance our own capabilities and strengths to deliver maximum value to our commercial satellite / space, defense and energy customers,” said David Gorodetski, COO, Sage Communications.
