OnPoint Consulting, Inc. (OnPoint) was recently awarded at task order by the U.S. Department of the Army, Office of the Chief, Army Reserve (OCAR) to the Tantus|OnPoint joint venture. The task order is to provide automation and analytical support to the Army Reserve mission:  “Provide trained and ready units and individuals to mobilize and deploy in support of the National Military strategy.”

“We are proud to support the Army Reserve with technical expertise and deliver world-class services to a critical component of the Department of Defense.” says Shankar Pillai, CEO and President of OnPoint.

Under the task order, Tantus|OnPoint provides operational maintenance on the Chief, Army Reserve Decision Support System (CARDSS), including software support, data imports, help desk, training, and communications. CARDSS brings together incongruent data from a number of different Standard Army Systems (STAMIS) and Reserve-unique business applications into one location. Today, CARDSS provides an integrated and flexible means to address the cross-functional challenges related to the mission.

Tantus|OnPoint is responsible for operational readiness as it relates to maintaining application databases, software support, troubleshooting system issues and resolution support, maintenance upgrades, configuration changes, as well as monitoring technology trends and recommending updates. Tantus|OnPoint also coordinates with data owners to add new data versions or sources.

The CARDSS task order was awarded under the Army’s Information Technology Services-Small Business (ITS-SB) contract.  ITS-SB is a multiple-award, Indefinite-Delivery/Indefinite-Quantity (IDIQ) task-order contract, established to provide the Army with a full range of innovative, world-class IT support services and solutions.
