ITSolutions, an Acentia company, has been awarded a 5 year, $5 million contract to deliver Ports, Protocols and Services Management (PPSM) support for the Military Health System (MHS) by the MHS Enterprise Infrastructure (EI) Directorate. The PPSM program, which provides the basis for filtering network traffic that traverses Department of Defense (DoD) networks, is the bedrock of secure communications within the MHS enterprise.

“We are honored that Acentia is able to continue our highly successfully collaboration with EI,” said Mike Raymond, EVP and Acentia Health Sector Executive. “Our team looks forward to the next challenge.”

EI leads the MHS in the global delivery of flexible and efficient cyberinfrastructure services by identifying and implementing proven advances in technology. Under the contract, Acentia will provide information assurance support to the EI PPMS program to evaluate, register, and coordinate the use of PPS by Medical Information Systems across the DoD medical enterprise. This work includes interpreting DoD PPS Guidance, assessing impacts to system design, architecture, and infrastructure requirements, and providing program management of MHS automated information systems (AIS) enterprise PPS.

Acentia has supported EI’s PPSM program for the past five years.
