Gary Shiffman, President and CEO of Giant Oak, LLC and Georgetown University Professor, is scheduled to speak at an event at King’s College London this week, Thursday, October 10, 2013. He will be discussing economic perspectives on sub-state violence.
The Center for Security Studies professor conducts research at Georgetown McDonough School of Business and the Department of Homeland Security-Sponsored National Center for Risk & Economic Analysis of Terrorism Events (CREATE) at USC’s Viterbi School of Engineering.
The event entitled Al Qaeda, the Mexican Drug Wars and Mario Puzo’s the Godfather, will be moderated by Shiraz Maher, a senior fellow at King’s College London.
